Why and How?

I get a few questions from time to time. Not many. I'm not famous by anyones definition of the word. Not even infamous. But every now and again someone thinks that I might have an answer to a question they have. The two I get the most are:

"Why do you do what you do?" and "How do you get away with it?" Two relatively simple questions. One has a very simple answer, the other one not so much.

1. "How do you get away with it?" (plus various variations on said theme) In the words of the Nike marketing gods - "Just Do It". The biggest key is finding brave models that are in it for the love of good images and kinda like being shown off. I don't shoot run and gun. I don't do flashing photography. Quite the opposite. I like to set up the shot. I almost always use flash. I generally do at least one or two test shots sometimes with a coat/long shirt over the model and sometimes with the outfit you see in the finals. Some of my fearlessness comes from size. Some of it is just NYC attitude. But I've only ever really had one issue while i was shooting and that was in Tampa Florida - not on the streets of my hometown.

2. Why do you do what you do is much more complex...and will be the subject of a second post....Duty calls right now.

been trying to get at least one or two shots with the iphone at each shoot and some are coming out pretty cool. I first noticed that I took decidedly better landscape images with this camera than my 5DII and then decided it might be worth it to try the same with some of my fetish work. Hope you enjoy.

A Few Of The Strong Ladies

I love strong women. I know some people look at my work and see someone that wants to see women subjugated. Some will say misogynist. Couldn't be further from the truth. Do I like bondage? Do I love when a woman submits? Yes and Yes. Do I like S&M? Yes So how does this jibe with me loving strong women? I won't ever tie or play with a woman that I see as week...Only a strong person can submit...

One A Day.

I've gone through this before - this feeling that I need to post more - so here we go. I'm thinking to do some how to stuff in the near future. Getting Over The Hump

Sometimes it seems that all i can think about is getting some new shots. Generally this happens to me when I get a new piece of tech. Often times I fall in love with that item for a short time only to move on to something else without ever getting the shot that i wanted. It keeps me going and looking and hoping to find some new skill set that I haven't explored before. Sometimes though it fails and I feel like I'm as hopeless as I was the first day I picked up a camera. Today is one of those days....
